The current status of this project is that the hardware is finished, but there's still a lot of work to do on the software.
I do however have a couple of the prototype boards for sale and can provide basic software with them for people who are interested in doing further software development on their own.
The prototype (v1.0) boards have a very minor difference to how the final v1.1 boards will be (see here). Price is £30 each. The final boards will also be this price.
