Fat Controller - Parts list
Here is a complete BOM for the Fat Controller PCB. Where people have had trouble finding
parts I have added links to suppliers, and in some cases alternative parts. If you are having
trouble with a particular part, please just ask
information here.

Miscellaneous

3 FB1,FB2,FB3 Radial Ferrite Bead (Rapid 26-4865)
1 J1 POWER (4 pin 0.1" pitch Molex KK PCB header
or cheaper equivalent like JYK P2500-xx/H2500-xx)
3 J2,J3,J4 (7 pin 0.1" pitch Molex KK PCB header)
1 J5 MIDI In (2 pin 0.1" pitch Molex KK PCB header)
1 J6 MIDI Thru (3 pin 0.1" pitch Molex KK PCB header)
1 J7 Buttons (5 pin 0.1" pitch Molex KK PCB header
Farnell 176989 and 176444)
1 LCD1 PC0802-A (Connector is 14 pin 2mm pitch PCB header, or you
can solder the wires directly.
The LCD is a Powertip PC0802-A 8x2 alphanumeric
display. If you want a larger display, then get
the PC0802-L.
Available from RS Components 214-3288 & 214-3480
The interface is quite standard, so probably
another 8x2 alphanumeric display would also work
- check the datasheet for the PC0802-A for the
full specifications.)
2 RV1,RV2 1K (0.2" x 0.1" pitch multiturn precision trimmer
e.g.
Bourns 3260W 1/4" 11 turn wirewound 70ppm/C
Bourns 3262W 1/4" 12 turn cermet 100ppm/C
Bourns 3266W 1/4" 12 turn cermet 100ppm/C with PCB standoffs to allow washing
Bourns 3296Y 3/8" 25 turn cermet 100ppm/C
I used Bourns 3266W. The 25 turn Bourns 3296Y
will make adjusting easier and should fit the
PCB - but the clearance between RV2 and U11 will
be tight: looks to be just about ok from the
measurements, but I didn't actually try it myself.)
1 RV3 10K (0.2" x 0.4" pitch standard cheap trimmer)
1 X1 20MHz (0.2" pitch low profile parallel cut crystal)
