In practice the Pulse Amp sub-circuit doesn't actually allow the trigger amplitude to go anywhere near the specified 14V maximum unless the input impedance of the drum circuit being triggered is very high.  An additional voltage follower transistor buffer would fix this, or more simply, reducing the values of R2, RV1 & R3 would allow the maximum trigger voltage to go higher (at the expense of using more current).
